Seek your experience on this particular fish; from what I read:

A truly nasty fish suitable to be kept alone.

Anyone here ever mix them with other fishes and what were the results?

We once thought fishes like Aimaras cannot be housed with others but there are a few who had done so with positive results.

A very nice Mangrove Jack is currently available at my LFS and I am considering putting it in my tank with Aro, wolves, gar etc.

Most of the these fishes are in 12-20 over inches and the Mangrove Jack is around 7-8 inches.

Thanks in advance. :)

I've got one in a 700 gallon pond with a couple of Australian Jungle Perch and a Snakehead Gudgeon. They've been living together for over two years and the Jack is now about 15 inches. They seem to get along fine however I've got plenty of plants in there for them to hide behind.

Thanks guys.

700 gallons is really huge and spacious. Mine is close to 300 gallons only.

Starting them young and small with mates could possibly work.
