mangrove lighting

what lighting would i need for magroves i have settled on a large group of india dwarf mudskippers. the tank would be 4x2x3 lxwxh with only6-8" of water the land being8-10" what type light should i use i was tihnk of having 216watt ligting i owuld go up to the 428watt if i have have too thanks guys. also is the tank tall engouh if i keep up on pruning also does sparying the leaves with freshwater help??? thanks :D

you will get great growth with that much light .

light will travel through air i think its 8 times better than water .so less light is needed . light misting of the leaves helps i think last i read but some google research will help you .
 
i did a ton of good search m ost just say how they are usede as filters i looked at all 7 pages of search on google lol :D
 
well i want hethey natural set and i want magroves to devole the roots that hang out of the plant fast as posable for my mudskippers to hang out on :D
also so the 216 watts is great lighting?? thanks :D
 
yes well in no time your gonna have a busted tank! mangrove roots although a nice good lookign solution should be replaced often so that they dont crack yourt tank. they bust concrete and rock so i dotnt hink glass is any stronger. just some food for thought

Not to highjack this thread but would you mind sharing where you are getting the mudskippers from? I was looking to pick up a batch too but the only source I know of (Frank's Aquarium) has been out of them for months now
