ive been looking everywhere. but i can't seem to find anything
i wanna make fake mangrove roots out of small pvc pipes
but than i wanna coat them with something to make em look more like roots,
anyone have an idea what i could use for that ? but make it fish and water safe?

Why not just get real mangroves. I picked up some seeds one day and dropped them in the tank. They have taken off after 3 months roots are already 6 inches. They are some of the best biological filtration you can have.

Yes. That's how they grow in the wild. I've got mangroves as well, just make sure you get red mangroves, they're the only ones capable of living in full salt. I got planters from ripariumsupply.com. His name's Devin, he's a could dude. Ask him if he's got red mangrove propagules for sale. I got my propagules from him. I've also got a thread in the planted forum that someone linked a really good article on caring for mangroves, if you decide to go the live route. :)
