Stupidly due to overlooking my aquarium weight and floor strength, I'm forced to change my set up to a mangrove swamp set. And actually how annoyed I was to realise my error I'm really starting to like the idea. Archer fish, mudskippers and maybe even fiddler crab. I've been studying a lot of web pages on brackish water set ups, and am sort of thinking I'm understanding the ins and outs of it now. Has anybody got any advice or good web links? One of my main questions is what sort of depth does the water need to be? Cheers guys

I've got red mangroves in my SW tank and MaddMaxx has black mangroves in his FW tank. We've both got a thread in the planted forum, check them out for a log of our experiments. :) If you're going brackish, I believe you need to get red mangroves as they are the only ones capable of surviving in salt. Oh and check out ripariumsupply.con for planters. He's a good dude. I'd do business with him again. If you email him, he may be able to hook you up with mangroves too. Good luck!
