Ok, I have to opportunity to purchase a few mangrove trees..they are still small. I understand that they are originally from salt waters.

My questions is..Will the mangrove trees do ok in my aquarium?

I got pressurized CO2 and 65watts of light?

Let me know...i know nothing about a mangrove tree's necessities

Thanks in advance!!

bumpity bump bump!! I was also thinking about getting a small live mangrove or just getting a cool root structure for my 25

is it a saltwater tank? if so they'll be fine if your buying small plants. but if you intend on using the small plants in a freshwater tank then they would have to be started in a fresh water system. they cant be switched over to my knowledge. but if in saltwater theres no real requirements. they dont need powerful lighting, and unless the leaves are submerged, having co2 wont usually help. the leaves soak up co2 and the roots soak up oxygen...hope that helps

I have many small mangrove in the back comparments of my reef AIO tank. They dont get direct light and grow well, they have large roots and some have 3 or more leafs. Dont submerge them. They grow very slow.
