Mangrove Trimming

I know you can make mangroves grow like Bonsai trees. Has anyone actually done it? I just cut the growth tip of my largest one, is that all I basically need to do or is there something else? Thanks for any advice.

I have observed that mangroves generally don't like pruning. I wouldn't take off more than the top couple of sets of leaves. I suppose it would be best to start controlling the shape while they are still smaller, that way you won't be chopping the tops from larger plants.

They are not so tough like you would expect for a plant that lives in such a harsh environment.

i wouldnt screw with them. just when they get big make a bigger tank to put them in.
