I recently got a new tank and I have always wanted one of these guys. But I have some questions first.
1. What is their average lenght.
2. I have 2 oscars and a JD. Would that be over doing it on agression? My oscars are very agressive but my JD is.
3. Are they hard to care for? Like certain food selection?

If you could answer some of these questions that would be great thanks!

Youre getting in over your head. You probably dont have a big enough tank to house a jag. Theyre extremely aggressive, especially in small tanks. They can excess 24" at max size... They are true beasts at that size.

I tried having a jag in my 125 with my oscar and dempsey. When my jag about 15 inches, its started being uberly aggressive. Had to re home it because it was hurting my Oscar. Jags are really aggressive. Its a parachromis for a reason Lols

I would not add a Jaguar to your stock. You only have a 90 gallon and it will be pretty tight as it is once your two Oscars and JD gain some size. I honestly would drop one of the Oscars too. IME Jags aren't really that aggressive. They are more territorial than anything. In a small tank there isn't much room for other fish to stay out of a Jag's territory so there will aggression for that reason. Jags are easy to feed pellets just as long as you don't start them off on live feeders. They grow fairly quickly and large, especially males. I know your cichlids are young and small at the moment and that can make your tank seem empty. But you should think long-term about the stock that you currently have, keeping in mind their adult size and behavior. As adults they will need more room. You should avoid adding any other large-growing cichlids.
