well i was looking through some files and came upon some pics when i went fishing in Selkirk, Manitoba, Canada last summer.. and my dad caught a some sort of clam or muscle.. lol we used it as bait too.

ah i c thanks for clarification. are the some sort of bottom cleaner? channel cats are a big hit on that area, but they werent biting at all.Crispy;3942145; said:

Sheepshead will eat anything and everything. We catch them in the Great Lakes using any type of bait. Real monster ones. Even catch them when downrigging with large spoons (imitating smelt). They always get thrown back.

Drum are fun, except when they are beating the Chanel Cats to the bait. I fish near where you did at least once a week, usually twice all spring and most of summer. There are times when we catch them up to about 29-30", we are out looking for the Cats though

yeah my cousin caught a pretty big channel cat when he was there... next time im in winnipeg ima fish there again and try for some channels.
lol fishing in Canada for drum. When I think of Canada I think of Small mouths, pike , lake trout and other large cold water fish not dumb drum. If you want to catch some real fish up there put down the dumb live bait and start casting some lures.
