we were wanting to get some mantella frogs, we already have one fire belly newt in a 40gal tank, would the frogs get along with the newt? also, about half of the tank is water, would that be ok for the frogs? thank you

I don't think mantellas have webbed feet. I know that some dart frogs can drown in deep water. They are not the same type of frogs but they are very simalar. I don't think you would have a problem with the newt/frog, but I don't know if I'd put mantellas in there.

Sweet sutup ny the way.

Mantellas don't swim well and their care sheets suggest that water sources in their containers be less than 2" deep. You do have good crawl outs though so it might work. Firebellied newts and mantellas won't bother each other.

The mantellas need a warmer setup then the firebellies. The water level will be a problem too, we have some at the store and have lost a couple to drowning in bowls of water. They now get just a centemeter. If you need to have more water as long as there is a rough surface ( we use fish gravel in the water bowls) they will get out.

Do some research your self. dont just rely on what people on here say. they are very hard to keep. and tiny.

very very very sweet setup bro ...but i don't believe they swim well at all....their tank should
get more of a mist of water not a small pond.. again very nice steup u have beautiful
