They are red wigglers.. you can buy them at petsmart, ask for them by request in the fridge in back with the mealworms. They are lots smaller than nightcrawlers, and are really good if you chop them up. I feed a dozen or so at a time, i have a worm farm for them. Its cool because they ball up like the blackworms and can live for a while under water (not chopped)..they wiggle around like blackworms too, I think the rays can sense them with their '6th sense'... throw in a dozen in the mornz and at night, and everytime I come back and check they are all gone with a pile of poop in the corner..
she still has some veins but I'm guessing just because she so juvenile.. you can see the discolored area in the back where the disc regenerated.. about 1" of re-growth in a few weeks I was amazed

I will go to pets mart after work and get some of thos red wigglers. WHen i first turn on the light you can see veins in mine but once the coloration gets better they go away. Wow mine wasn't bit as bad as yours was on the disc. But it has healed quick.
for fun i attached a couple of picts of my girl. They sure look great! Maybe the difference in the substrate makes mine a different color.
it will be interesting to watch them all grow up together.. Wonder if any other MFK'ers got 'em?
