Hey guys, Im looking to build a mantis shrimp tank. As for species, probably a peacock. Any advice or general info would be great. I have done some good research as well. Ive heard a 29 gallon would be ok but i want to hear what you think. Thanks
Yes. Mantis shrimp are known as pests because they are usually acquired by accident in live rock. From there they build a cave and will slowly kill off your fish. A mantis shrimp's strike is hard enough to break fingers. If he hits the glass, which is common he has a high probability of chipping or cracking the tank and possiblly blowing it up on your floor.
