There are so many variables... First off keeping your idodine level where it needs to be will help them molt stronger and more often. 2nd Feeding it as often as you can, and a GOOD variety will help them grow very fast. Im not talking a good variet of damsel fish, more or less vitamin fortified krill, or squid meat, ect. & 3rd keeping your water quality tip top shape by doing your 10% every week will suffice. When i fist bought my peacock she was about 5.5 in. Its been 2 yrs and she is 10+. So i hope this answers your question.
