when your lfs dosnt have one just ask them to get one for you.
well we just had one in for $36 i dont know your to much though but i would say fair price.
all u need is a 20 long acylic for a pecock mantis.
not at all there really hardy just keep water quality good and feed them once a day or two.

Well, there is hardly ever a yes/no answer to such questions, all I can give you is some basic information to run with, and my own opinions. The first thing I need to ask however is, are you planning on keeping your mantis alone or in a group (by that I mean, with other tankmates)? If you answered "group", you might want to either make sure you have a very very large tank, or reconsider him having roomates. Mantis shrimp (though not really shrimp at all) are very territorial, very agressive at times, and well, pretty damn tough. I have a ton of info if you want it, but I will have to write it down later tonight or tomorrow because right now, I have to run. Let me know if you want me to give you some info. (probably a lot more than you ever wanted to know, LOL, but whatever). I will be on later tonight once I get the chance, so I will write more if you want it ok.
