Good day, you fish maniacs

managed to keep my manueli with other characins for almost a year with minimal incidents...i know not many people will not approve of this but it's just too tempting not to try...in this case, i got lucky...

anyway, enjoy and look fwd to your comments....

it looks great, how big is the manueli and other fish you have in there? what's the tank temperature, diet and feeding schedule?
tank size? got any more photos of the manueli and full tank shot? don't tease us with just one picture, most more. :)

keep the pictures coming :)

can you post some information I asked in my first post? curious to know if there's anything you are doing differently to make this work or just pure luck that it's working for almost a year.

the piranha is close to 7" and the other fishes rage between 6-8". the temp is at around 76F. i do a very constant feedings of live feeders, occasional frogs, lots of frozen shrimps and frozen worms three times a day in order to avoid "fin nipping accidents" inside the tank. they are full fed everyday, i guess :D

Another question to add to JP's set. Did you raise these fish together?

i used to separate the p with the other fishes. bought the p since he was 2.5" and started mixing him when he grew to around 5". the other characins were about the same size when the p joined the community tank.

but then again, its maybe plain old luck on my side ;)
