had mine over a year, they seem to like plenty of flow and regular water changes , i lost my other one mysteriously, one min he was fine, next he was cartwheelin round the tank, took 1 hr to die, according to internet forums there are none over 8ins in uk bout half a dozen at 7ins, only a few up to 13ins in the us, apparently they dont survive shipping well, so they arent shipped coz its an expensive risk
