I feel like I always see a fair amount of talk about Manuelli. What makes them so desirable? Thanks

aggression, speed, exotic shape and look I guess. Im not really a fan tho, Im more in to rhoms but there still not a bad fish. just might not be my first choise.

Rarity and large size. They don't come around often and hard to keep alive since they are very sensitive to water params.

thanks for info. I am not looking to get one. I am happy with my wimples and RRS. Was just curious about them. Thanks

I just love the look of them. He's really not that hard to keep either. The whole sensitivity ya maybe when they are young but haven't had a problem with mine in two years .

Rarity and difficulty to grow out. Most large ones you find are wild caught. Guess they're real sensitive to water conditions

actually its the opposite, the large ones are ones you find are grown in captivity as most manuelli over 6" dont make the trip from the wild to the importers tank alive.

define large? i've not seen very many captive breed over 6 inches

there are no captive bred manuelli read my post again, when you buy a fish as a juvenile they do this thing called "grow" which causes them to increase in size. Larger manuelli are extremely sensitive to bad water conditions which is why they are not imported from the wild above 6" anything you see bigger than that is usually grown out for many years in the home aquarium
