my marble crayfish is in a 5 gallon tank by her self there are some plants in there with her. today i looked in the cave she hides in and saw that there were eggs on the ground around her is this normal i thought they carried eggs under there tail?

The eggs should be under her tail. Usually when they drop their eggs, it is because the eggs were unfertile. But since its a marbled crayfish, she should have not dropped her eggs as she clones herself.

Maybe water quality is off or something. Check parameters

What's the temperature, and how much calcium did you add?

the temp is around 75 and the only thing added was some plants

The most consistent things I've heard about crays is that they eat anything, like to hide, carry eggs under their tails, and need lots of calcium in their diet and/or water. Marbled crays have the best survival rate at 68ºF. So maybe dropping the temp a little, adding lots of crushed coral and giving her some cuttlebone to eat would help the next batch stay on course. Just what I would try. How hard is your water?
