I get the impression from this forum that Marble motoros are harder to breed than Reg motoros. Why is that ? I have two ray tanks one with motoros and one with marble motoros.I have found that the reg motoro male is ready to breed anytime sometimes even persuing a female while pregnant. Meanwhile in the other tank the marble male shows no interest in breeding at all. Even the reg male did not breed with the marble females when given the opportunity. The marble male is sexualy mature and the females are 13+ " accross. Are the females not sending out the proper scent to get the males going? Do the marbles need an additional stimulis? water change, higher temperature, lower temperature, ray stag film? .........What can I do to change my male dud to a dude?

What no ideas or theorys? There does seem to be a difference between the ease of breeding regular motoros and breeding marble motoros, what is it?

Males will go for the largest most agressive female, if there is more then one female in the tank at the time... it changes.... i would but ur male reg with the marbles .... this will put competition into the tank to breed... it will work.
