does anyone have a large pim with clown loaches ?
currently have a 16-18" pim with a 18" pleco in a 210 nd was thinking about moving them both into my 420 but there is 8 3-4" clown loaches that im not sure if he would swallow them up .......opinions?

A guy named Justin from Tampa donated a 2-footer to us. He had had it in a 4'x4'x3' with a bunch of loaches. I don't exactly remember their sizes but I'd be a worried about 3"-4"; their sharp spines would not be enough to ward off predation. Marble pims are, in general, markedly non-predatory but exceptions have been reported, I think mostly of the kind wherein the fish was given little other food choice and little room.

Justin's a member here but almost never logs in and IDK his screen name.

That's helpful but all is relative... what's 420 gal compared to the Amazon where he has to scavenge his food and once in a blue moon catch a fish? Compared to that, it is still a fish served on a platter to the pim. Again, I am skeptical he will go for it but the size difference is way too dramatic, IMHO. I wish someone with firsthand experience chimed in. Anyone?

BTW, how will the pim be in a tank stuffed with wood? Will he have room to swim?

most of the wood is 2 large stumps that are legged up with room to swim under them but have hollowed out areas inside them
this wont be his final tank but the 210 has to come down to build his pond and hes looking a little cramped in there at the moment . hes never been fed live food so hopefully his predatory instinct holds off till i get the pond done
