Here is the juvenile I've raised. And here are the ponds. Now, if this crayfish gets pregnant with eggs how can we explain it? This will be the litmus test. For now, however, I need to raise capital it, though I have had others lay eggs at this stage.

In the pond make sure they don't crawl out, they seem to do this in heavy rains rather often

I've caught these in FL, the self cloning ones. I know because I have had them breed in isolation. Think I have one now. Just wanted to say, however two died. One was losing balance and couldn't stay upright, the other found floating two days later. Albeit these are possibly the Marbled Crayfish, I still wonder what happened. Any thoughts?

I want to report there are about 2 doz or so baby crayfish left behind in the pond posted where this type of crayfish ( pic also posted), died. I can't but assume they're hatchlings from this one kind since it was put in there as a juvenile and solely by itself. Caught in a drainage pond in Southwest FL.
