i just picked up what i think is a marbled cray. my question is: will she reproduce in a bare bottom tank or do they need gravel?

I have mine is what is almost a BB tank... there is literally just the thinest layer of sand less than 1cm thick just to cover the bottom so it doesn't reflect too much...
Although, i do have a heap of driftwood inside for them to climb around and hide in when they are ready to drop their eggs...
