I am interested in buying a Marbled Crayfishto breed in a 10 gallon aquarium so that i may have a good food suppply for my oscars/jack dempsey. I will not release them into the wild, i know exactly how bad that is. I was wondering if anyone knew were I could buy one for a reasonable price. I mean they clone... they shouldnt cost 30 bucks. Or if anyone on here will sell me one it would be greatly appretciated.
thank you,
mike

Try Aquabid.com, there's usually a few people selling adults in the $5-10 range. And there's a few people on Aquariacentral.com that are selling them right now (I made WTB crayfish ad last week and I had 3 different people try to sell me Marbled crayfish lol). Uh, oh... there's this website: http://www.plantedaquariumscentral.com/marble.html

The adds on craigslist turn out to have 40 dollar shipping on a ten dollar cray, and the cray you get isnt mature. Matures sell for like 79 i beleive. I wont buy through markledcray sellers, im just hoping to stumble upon someone who has one either in the chicagoland area or in the twin cities where snoskate lives near.

They're still had to come by in my area. I think one thing that keeps the price high is you only have to buy 1 to get a breeding colony started. Hence, not a lot of repeat sales. But that's just my theory.

skeeters pm me when ready
