where can i find one or two of these..i live in bay area ca..i am going to use the babys for fish food..

Are these the crayfish that only need one to reproduce?

Just make sure they are legal in your area, as i've read it seems a lot of places in the US ban this species...

Sorry, you can't have this species of crayfish. It's prohibited in your state, unless you're able to get a permit issued by the CA Fish & Game commission. So, no one is going to be able to sell or ship to you.

You might look into a m/f pair of P. clarkii... they are cheap and very easy to breed. You'll end up with hundreds in a matter of months. I actually find them easier to breed than the Marmorkrebs sometimes, since they breed even in the worst conditions, haha.

from my research they are legal in california..

According to the CA Fish & Game Commission, you cannot buy, sell or import them (and an increasing number of other species, as well), the last update I saw to this was in 2009. I haven't seen any changes to that since.
