What, if any, fish do yall keep with your crays.

Ive got 4 in a 55. Had them for a few months now and they still havent berried :(

i have a 50g marbled cray tank, i won 5 from aquabid, for some reason 4 of them ate one and carried its head around for a while before eating that(i dont starve my crays they are fed daily) so that was interesting...to point where i wish i had a camera to record it. I didnt get a berried one for a while either, but they werent full grown adults when received. Now its been a while, and they cant seem to stop havin babies, i see tailfulls of eggs and babies quite commonly and have quite a few babies growin out now. I keep it as a species tank, only other live animal that goes in is a rare feeder goldfish cause they eat em up...however the rosy red minnow that was meant to be food is still in there swimmin around and fine, so maybe you can put some minnows in? i like it best as a species tank, just crays. Just wait it out a little longer, and youll have more than you know what to do with(young crays make good feeders)

I can never recommending keeping crayfish with other fish. I've kept crayfish with fish that were triple the length of the cray and the cray still wound up eating every fin on the fish!

thats what I figured but thought id ask. Ya I plan on using the babies as food, thats the whole reason I got them LOL. im getting impatient lol

i had a friend that tried to keep a convict in his marble cray tank and every time the cray molted, the convict would rip it to shred.

What size are your crays? They may still be too young to berry. And your water conditions? Something may not be ideal for them to want to berry. ...though, I pretty much abandon my mamorkreb tanks and they berry no matter what, lol.
