State of chaos
I went to change my Crayfish water, I've had him/her for a few months now, and I was shocked to see that she had eggs... I thought that was a little strange, so on a hunch I went to the computer and looked up Marbled Crayfish, and they look IDENTICAL to mine. The weird part is that I got her at Petland for like three bucks, and looks identical to the Crayfish I've seen there for a few years now. What gives?

This isnt mine, but this is identical 100% to mine and the ones at Petland.

^ definitely a marble crayfish, they all look identical because they clone themselves...

Care to ship some when they hatch? I been wanting a few to grow em out n feed my rays and dats from time to time

You're both in NYC
you could just meet up :P

or he could just tell you the store they're at

They are at every Petland Discount around here. Not all of them look like that, but most do. There are also usually a few solid reddish ones, but the majority are marbled. If mine does start cloning herself, and they dont all get sucked up into the filter, I'll probably raise the juvies to just under an inch long and then give them all away,.

Ok. Keep me in mind I guess. I've never seen them around tho I haven't been to a petland since I got hooked on rays...

I'd snag a marbled cray too; Western CT. How long have you noticed the eggs for? It takes a couple weeks for them to hatch but make sure once they start to that u remove the adults immediately because they'll eat a lot of them. I also suggest throwing a few live plants in (assuming you have the proper substrate) because the babies will eat them and its a great start to their diets while also discouraging cannabalism
