I bought an amazon cat at my lfs, I've done my research & my your help determined its a marbled pim. Just bought another today & he called it an amazon tiger & I asked him if it was they same as a marbled pim & he said no, but it looks similar in markings & color. If it's not a marbled pim does anyone know what it might be, sorry no pics. Its brown & black w/ whiskers like a pim but has a pattern of black brown & white colors, I don't know

L. longibarbus and P. perruno are very similiar species and often confused. L. longibarbus used to be called L. marmoratus. Also, remember all LFS employees don't always know what they are talking about. ;)

Sonds more like a marble!!! theyt are great cats! deff unlikely that it would be a P.perruno they are very rare fish and havent been imported as far as I can find and have been told basically the same thing many petstore miss lable them as reticulated catsfish but they deff are marble pims!! :naughty: :naughty:
