okay what exactly is a marbled ray? .. talked to lfs a few mins ago about my order and he was saying ray wise they have motoro's for 190 and marbled rays for 120. so i knew it couldnt be marbled motoro since that would be more expensive ..

My guess would be some kind of brown ray, a non-numbered species, similar to the columbia sp. or peru sp. rays that MNstingray has in this thread http://www.monsterfishkeepers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=299150
I have also seen TFD sell rays like that as "marbled".

I would definitely wait for some more opinions on this.
But, if this is your first ray, I would recommend paying the extra for the motoro. They are good looking, hardy, easy to train onto pellets, and probably the most recommended for a starter ray, provided you have a tank big enough to house it once its full grown.
