I just bought two bottles of this stuff. I had to order it online because no one within an hour around me carries anything for blackwater. So has anyone used it? Got anything to say about it?

All I can say is they act like peat although such stuffs are more expensive. They lower the pH and allow most species of fish to thrive well including the tetras.
I use it in my planted tank. It only lowers ur ph if you use alot of it. I have a ph in the high sevens and high gh/kh. I use less than suggested but I use it once a week after water changes. The instant amazon is alot more than just peat. It has vitamins and minerals in it and all my fish in my planted tank seem to like it and my plants are also doing better. They are bigger and thicker since I've been using it. I wouldn't waste it on my other south american tanks though. I only add prime to them. Really I only started using it for my plants.
I read that it also has almond and almond leaf extract in it. We'll see how it goes when I get it. How does it do as far as coloring your water?
