Northern VA,
Hey guys,

I just got a new 75 and it came with a marineland magnum 350, I have been tryig to get it going since last night with no luck. I cant seem to prime it. It doesnt suck, or water just stays put in the tubes. I have tried many different approaches, been trying to get answers on how to start it. can someone please give a a step by step as Im really getting PO at this. I have a 404 running along with a HOB 300 so im ok but the extra filtration is needed to help polish. any help will be greatly appricaiated.

Thnks

First of al make sure everything is in place, holes matching the right output/ input, o ring and gaskets in place. Oh and make sure that if ur using the micron filter that you got the center core placed in the middle of the micron cartridge. Make sure holes aren't kinked, and the outlet is under water before u start it up. These are pretty much the things I remember from reading the manuel on set up and stuff. When everything is set up fill canister up till the mark( somewhere in the middle) then turn on the canister and wait ten seconds. Switch off the filter and let it fill up with water, then tun it back on and it should work, if it doesn't then you might want to burp the filter by Turing it back off and tilting it till the remaindind air leaves then try turig it on again. Hopefully it works, these filters are awsone when it comes to just mech filtration since there easy to clean ( easier if you got the double disconnecting valves). Good luck hope I didn't miss anything

Does the impeller even spin? try taking it to the sink and removing the basket
add just enough water to cover the impeller and plug in (no lid)
fill with water, reassemble, and go
