I am curious as to how members add salt to brackish or African rift lake cichlid tanks during their weekly water changes. I have been dissolving the full amount of salt to be added in small plastic (Betta) containers (less then a quart total combined!). I have well water with zero chlorine, so I have a hose run directly from the sink to the aquarium at optimum temperature.
I add half the dissolved salt mixture after roughly 50% of the tank is filled. The last half of the dissolved salt mixture is added at around the 75-80% fill point.
What works best for you?
