I'm thinking of setting up a small marine tank with just some clowns and cleaner shrimp, what would i need to do to a normal tank to make it marine (except the obvious)

salt. live rock. sand. heater.
the same filter will work.
since its a small tank water changes wont be hard, so a skimmer is optional.

Thanks again, do you think damsels would be okay living in a simple tank?
yes but stock slowly

yes how many gallons is your tank

Okay, i probably won't set it up until mid next year as I've only had my tropical for about two months, but i was thinking of upgrading that and converting it into a marine.

thats not small its double the recomended begginer size so ya lol damsels will fit

Oh. YAY! thats good. Their is a shop near where i live that do some really lovely marine fish (not so good for tropical). They sell a really good variety of marine shrimp. i went in the other day and they had a Mantis Shrimp. I REALLY want one :P
