I have a Marineland 350 dual bio wheel filter, it sits on the rim of the tank for those who don't know. I would like to drain half of my tank so that my archerfish have room to shoot at their food, but the filter would make one hell of a waterfall. Is there any suggestions on how I could fix this? Some kind of extension off of the water return maybe?

What i have done in the past is pile up mostly flat rocks, creatin a rock wall waterfall that the water flows down. Can be an awesome visual peice and its somethin different
