Bought a Marineland canister filter(c-360) rated for up to 100 gal tanks , put it in my 55 gal comm tank ian its doing a fabulous job Ive never saw my tank so far... I mean the tank is crystal clean.. So I bought Penn plex 700 rated for 260 gal tanks I think so far Im not impressed, its been on my 100 gal fof 2 days and no improvements yet..In my 100 gal I have 1 poly and 4 other birchirs ,3 peacocks and 3 other fish none of them are bigger than 10 inchs,,, so the bio load shouldnt be all that bad..I will take some pics tonite and post them tomorrow and acouple of days after to see if there are aany improvements..

its very good filteration system, the downside is it tends to leak, but its easy fix just have spare rubber gasket just incase!!

It won't leak that easily...

Your fear of Canister leaking is ridiculous

its not the fear it is reality and yes i got my hand on the said canister c-360 and odysea CFS 4 and they all leak, when brandnew yes they dont leak give some time and report back after about 3 years max LOL
besides theres ton of options out there and i choose the better option and easier to deal with for maintenance not to mentioned better filteration.
with cannister every maintenance service u will risk it getting leak when putting it back together.
and i like to have piece of mind when im away or asleep :)

to the OP marineland c-360 is good filteration especially when u can get it for 179 bucks or less, that thing comes with medias out of the box, and pretty huge to comparable size to other brands and pretty customizable too.
and it is better built then others
