Hey everybody!

After beginning to cycle my growout tank...i went to the lfs and saw a marineland tank for 180 gallons for $2500 on sale however it is the 180 size...so not for me.

Long story short seeing this 180 looked amazing and i found out they have a 6 foot by 3 foot size! Which i feel would be perfect in this spot in the new house eventually. However does anyone have any experinces with this tank? Looked amazing however i just want to make sure what does everyone else think...its a pretty penny $4000.

i saw one on manhattan reefs not too long ago. i think the seller wants to get $1800 for the tank and it is brand new. the dimensions are 72x36x27 if i remember correctly. you should look it up. hope this helps. goodluck to you!!!

I have the 72x36x27 with starfire glass love my tank although I went with custom holes for overflow etc...

We had one at the shop I work at for 1900 starfire glass with stand and glass tops so 4000 would be crazy unless it was a very custom oak stand and canopy and maybe even a wet/dry with it

I really love the higher quality molding and black silicone they use on these tanks

I have had my tank over a year and no issues at all also marineland offers a lifetime warranty

Hey thanks for the tip jette will call tomorrow as that is a steal and will pick it up in a heart beat!

Vamp, did you buy your acrylic brand new? If so where?

Thanks, i especially like the lifetime warranty, here's a link at what I'm looking at :

I saw the 180 version in person today, it looked amazing! The stand and canopy was beauiful and that lifetime warranty is really a bonus...however i strongly dislike the $4000.... maybe it's just drsfosterandsmith overprice? I dont know..

I would think that foster and smith will not be your best bet for a good price on a monster tank. The most Important thing is to buy the tank you like for a price your comfortable with. Nothing would be more depressing than spending a nice chunk of cash on something you end up not liking that is very hard to move :)

A few pictures to entice you. Can't beat starfire for picture taking looks like you have trained your fish to fly

Your tank looks amazing, you have a lifetime warranty? right?

Problem is I'm not to handy to mke my own over flows :( I'd prefer the overflows provided however I've been hearing numerous people having problems with it.

I think it's impossible to find any new tank, stand and canopy of any 300 gallon tank under $3000...found this same tank on craigs for $2500...but no pics. Hopefully I get some pics and maybe be able to transfer the lifetime waranty to me somehow if possible...I defintly want that warranty.
