I have a lot of fish tanks, each with two canister filters and some are decades old. I have an old Fluval 303 that is getting noisy. The impeller and area it spins in is worn down and this time I think I have to retire it for parts. I went online and found Marineland 350 pro's (with bio wheels) at only $120 with free shipping. I have five Magnums currently running in my home. They are workhorses! I just ordered one new one to replace the noisy Fluval. Has anyone had experiences with another large canister type filter that is both inexpensive and long lived? My whole "fleet" is getting old and I'll need more sooner than later.

xpl from api...the old xp3 is on AMAZON for about $110 .....the eheim 2215 (as effective as the 303 ,imo, ...also about $110 at AMAZON ...imo both are better options .But beauty is in the eye of the owner:)

I'm not completely happy with the Magnums. The filter sleeve isn't very efficient for one. Thanks for high quality, low cost options. I'm not familiar with either of those. I'll check them out.
