Marineland single or double LED Light?

get the double bright, I have heard ppl said that single bright isn't bright enough at all. post some pics and let us know how it goes if you do end up getting either one of them.
are you planning to grow any plants in the tank with those lights? might not be enough light.

Seems to me that you know a lot. I have real Amazon sword plants in my tank. I don't plan on growing plants.
I will post pics if I do get one.
 
That's a blowout sale on that double bright - if your goin' for flora or funa that's photosyntetic $200 off is a great deal. However for Piranha it's only advantage is long lasting bulbs - up to 6 years. On the down side Algae is photosynthetic and can become super overwelming when you add dissolved protiens, phosphates, and nitrates that are commonly generated from sloppy eaters to a strong deep penetrating light source.
 
Yes too brite and its bad, not brite enough is better imo. Stick with a cheap flourecent and put your money into some other aspect of the tank! Maybe better filtration,laminar circulator?
