Marineland Stealth vs Eheim Ebo Jager Heaters

as a follow up to the couple of stealth threads, I was curious to know peoples thoughts as to which of these heaters is better.

because they both seem to be the leading two brands.

which do you prefer and why?

since I started the poll I guess I should chime in.

I have stuck with the glass Ebo Jagers (with a heater guard) because of their reliability. I also like the indictor light. I have been using them for so many years now. they last.

I have heard reports that the newer blue topped ones are not as good as the ebo's of old, but I have yet to experience this.. my newer Ebo's seem fine.

I switched over to Stealth heaters exclusively shortly after they hit the market...

The main reason was their "unbreakable" housing...

I miss the indicator light, but it was a small price to pay for the comfort of a reliable non glass heater...

I have one Ebo that already broke on me and it's just a year old.

I didn't vote because I have only owned Steath. They have been very reliable. The main complaint on these is that they don't have an indicator light showing if the heater is on or not. However, this does not bother me since I constantly monitor the temp. with a 2 dollar thermometer.

I also chose Ebo because of never having had problems with one... and yes I DO like the indicator light.... I tried some Stealths because of the reports and accolades here about them and currently have 5 - however one of my six month old stealths developed a dime size blister... called Marineland was hoping they would send me a replacment with return shipping instructions for defective... the girl told me to return for a replacement.... weeks later still waiting... I ended up buying new heater. I'm not sure yet what I will be using on the 100 gal I am setting up....
