Is there a difference between the Penguins and Emperors?

from what i understand...

i own a penguin.

and EMPERORS are better.
rather they are the UPGRADED version.
[Hence Price difference]

i got penguins and i wish i got emperors, my major issue is when the filters clog not enough water comes through them to turn the bio-wheel, then half the wheel will dry out if not caught early enough killing the biological filtration. the spray bar on the emps will keep the wheels spinning all the time.

Emperor's are badass. I'm about to order another one for a 100g tank I'm setting up in a couple of days. I know my fish love me for it. The aqua-tech stuff that came with my 55g walmart tank blows.

I love the emperors. I have a some other filters running on my big tank, but I converted a topless (I got it for free because it came without a top) emperor 280 into a bio-only filter, and in 2 weeks it turned a cloudy 125g into a crysal clear fish paradise. My fish have never been happier.

(To make it bio, I put a layer of fluval beads on the bottom, then about 20 bio balls, then covered them with a bag of AC110 Biomax, and aimed the spraybar towards the back of the filter. It works gloriously even on a 125g.)

penguins are a sp. name
emperors are a kind of penguin

It sounds like I will be choosing the Emperors, I like the spray bar set-up,
