The guy is astounding, though If you read his articles, he uses a lot of photoshop blending techniques to get those. Though still a Canon G4 :shock: He's a minor god :)
 
when you get into the kludge macro system, thats when you're getting geeky. its fun, but your depth of field is REALLY REALLY REALLY shallow.

I know, I could not understand half the stuff he was talking about, reversing the lenses and all that stuff. But it's funny, on some of his stuff it does not look like a VERY shallow DOF, I know he uses two exposures and then cut-and-pastes it using photoshop, but it's NICE!!!!
 
reversing the lens is supposed to give you greater magnification. for example. 200mm lens with a 50mm lens reversed in front of it would give you 4x lifesize. as far as layering 3 shots together, i don't see how you can get 3 shots of an insect before it moves. especially with the p&s "waiting" factor. you couldn't really burst if you were moving in and out trying to get different focus points.
