Hello MFKs.. Please tell me what do I need to look for when I go buy market prawn to feed my Aro? One time I saw a post of someone in here got their fish very sick and die due to feeding some market shrimp or prawn... Most of it are imported from Asia and some time they do add some chemical to keep the product fresh. Has any of you had any problem with market prawn? Thanks for any input.

never had any problems myself. I do remove head and tail spike just to be sure. there were some threads advising to do this
Where are you from? don't you get a fresh catch in the local markets? i deshell and de-vein the prawn..
it is a chemical preservative call sodium benzite spelled differently but sounds like that. just get freash market shrimp and you should be fine. that is what i do. i dont even take any spines off.
I live here in California and where I live don't have fresh market shrimp. I found lot of frozen prawn but almost all of them are imported from asia
