market shrimp

it's always better to feed raw and with shell on (just remove the sharp barb on the tail section). I think the shrimps were already frozen after caught. if you still worry about parasites then just freeze the shrimps in your freezer that should kill off most parasite.

freezing doesnt always kill everything though as some things grow like spores the only real way to kill is boiling which isnt good for your fish ( i think) i dont really think you have to worry about parasite/bacteria/viruses unless your market shrimp are caught from like sewage lines

make sure shrimps are fresh, wash and rinse the shrimp after you peel the shells, and feed em raw, some people feed with shells, but imo best w.o shells

it all depends on the size of the aro to do shells or not...i have fed coocked and raw...i like the raw...just watch for presurvitives...some can kill your fish...one is sodium bicarbinate? something like that...

Market shrimp are fast frozen before arriving in your market display. And, I wouldn't worry too much about disease tranfer from a saltwater shrimp fed into a freshwater system.

If they are fresh market shrimp. Just bag them, and freeze as quick as possible for a minimum of 24hours. Freezing them kills parasites.
