After clearing the 30 gallon tank i had my growouts in i found more cichla and couldnt resist
well they were labeled as ocellaris and wanted to take a shot
in the store they all showed spots instead of bars and thought it was just due to stress
but after a week now in my care they are still showing spots instead of the bars that i thought baby monos and ocells shared
and i was wondering if this was normal for baby ocells or could they be a different species
here are a few pics and tell me what you think

At that size Mono and occell look the same. May have to grow them out a bit before you can id them. Just a heads up, all the local stores sell pbass as occell.
