Markless monoculus?

Why my cichla monoculus have so few (almost none) of markings on it's body? I keep it from 4cm, and now its size almost 22cm.. Is it normal? (Sorry for bad english)

Really? Well from it's body shape pretty sure it's mono.. But none mark? And the colour its shinning gold tho..

A mono that size I think should have some what of a nuchal hump. To me the body shape is exactly like xingu

I'm no pro though

Could be a birth defect, might be stressed or?????

Is it blind in one eye?

The eye it's clear.. Never had cloud eye on it's life.. And had some good apetite also it's the bullies in my tank..

What the indicator for the stressed fish? The apetite still high.. Agile and normal in every way.. Just the body is plain and just markless..
