White mountains NH
hello, New issues with my chocolate all of a sudden developed these two small white lines sticking out of his body behind his fin. Total length 7.5” long. Still eating normal but not as active in the afternoon as used to be out hunting shrimp. Pictures aren’t great as he’s hiding in Java but I noticed with the flash some reflective dots on his face. The small white line is behind the fin. Had another one as well yesterday but now gone also developed cloud eye as we’ll on this left side. I though maybe pre hook worm but LFS states no. Never had any issue with my tank until recent .. ph-6.8 gh5 kh4 phosphate 4, ammonia 0 , nitrite 0 nitrate 5 temp is 79
Planted tank fluval 306 canister, two 650 power heads. Mates are electric blue jack and dwarf pleco / auto cads and ghost shrimp for once week feed. Brine shrimp/Mysis/bloodworms
The research I’ve done indicates very sensitive skin, unsure what to try/or wait for? I’m having some issues with my EBJD as well. Just cloudyeye / cataracts 4843A97D-E412-4AAA-9509-C28AD1045C50.jpeg575D1D33-B506-4314-9748-7878B7AAB540.jpeg5490A616-5D4C-4F33-9D88-87DF26A7E385.jpegand lack of energy. Tia

It's a parasite, treat accordingly

Could be lymphocystis or an external parasite. Need some extreme close ups. But if u can catch the fish and pull it off with tweezers. It’ll help to ID and treat it at the same time.

I checked out the mark a little more. Don’t believe lymphocystis but I’m no expert. I was going to remove it and check under power but I’m going to treat for para first.
