Marks on new tank

Hi, I got a new tank yesterday, it's second hand and has like a grey cloudy stain on the glass, I imagine its limescale? How do I go about getting rid of it? Thanks in advanced

scrub like hell with a scouring pad, maybe a stanley blade if your careful!

Lay the side affected so it is flat down, put a towel on it completely covering the area, soak towel with white vinegar and let sit for 30 mins. It should come off easily if it is limescale then.

If the vinegar trick doesn't work, try 0000 steel wool.
