Okay, a pair of my Ocellaris had died yesterday due to a power outage. It was out for roughly 10 hours and caused my fish to die after a lack of oxygen while I wasn't home. And I wasn't aware that it would black out for that long and left them alone to be. :(

Okay, so I decided to go with Maroons this time. I heard many rumors about Maroons being one of the most aggressive species. And they aren't simple to pair up like the Ocellaris, which they will attack it's own kind including others and they love to fight unless they are a paired. And also they will pick out their territory and defend it with their life on the line. Known to bully bigger fishes and killed bigger fishes including inverts that enters it's territory.

So how would I pair them up?
Would inverts and other cleaners be safe with them?
Food?
Tank Mates compability?
And anything else that I need to know?

Thanks in Advance!

From my experience with them they are suitable with inverts and cleaners, not paying them any attention, they tend to be fine with any other fish except clowns.
They do tend to create a territory and will defend it but most fish tend to keep clear once this is established.
They will eat krill mysis chopped cockles, chopped mussels and bits of prawn, they're not fussy eaters.
Your best off buy a pair to begin with as they are difficult to get to pair to begin with, and will fight between themselves, usually leading to lots of torn fins.

hope this helps

I know it's going to be a lot different with a pair, but I've kept mine (singular) with other fish, hermits, snails and shrimp, and it just didn't care, with the relationship terminating with the shrimp when I moved the tank back home, as they died.
As far as other fish, had mine in for 2 months now w/mandarin, obviously it could dominate that thing if it wanted, but not a problem.

if you want a pair of maroon clowns this is how i did mine.... i bought 2 small (really small) juvi out of the same tank infact i got the 2 smallest ones in the tank and its been about six months and as of this point there has been no fighting between the 2 and there is now a major size diffrence between the 2. they have staked out thier territory and do defend it and the clown trigger (7-8") and the 6-7" asfur angel and the 8-9" sailfin tang basicly steer clear of the maroon clownfish pair.. my clownfish eat anything i feed the tank and are not shy about it i cant speak on the inverts as i have a clown trigger so i dont try inverts . the clown fish (mine at least) dont go looking for trouble and stay within a foot or less of the territory they have staked out and leave everybody alone unless the other fish chase a piece of food into the clownfishes territory then the clowns will run the other fish out but imediatley stop the bullying the second the other fish leave the clown fishes designated territory

Damn! I think I just bought 2 male...I thought I had a female and a male. I let them go into the tank and they went right at each other. One of them had a torn fin now and I separated them right away when I saw them go at it.
Now I red that the male will be a lighter red color as the female will be dark red to maroon color. Is it correct? I need to go back to the shop to pick up the big female...

So far, a male maroon clown and a blue devil in the tank...they seem to do quiet well together.

its usually 2 females that fight although 2 males will fight and a male/female combo will fight the majority of the time its females that fight and cause damage.. if the clowns you bought have any size to them they could be females. again the easiest way is get the 2 tank runts.. or the tank runt and the tank horse of a pig

they are about the same size...although they have a bright red/orange color to them. unlike the bigger one I saw at my LFS which had a dark red and maroon color.
