A three year old pair of M. regani look as if they want to spawn. The 9" female has dropped her ovipositor and the 12" male is being gently attentive to her. They have only spawned once before that I've observed and that spawn didn't last. I'm hopeful that they will choose the rock but, based on last time, they laid their eggs on the bottom, so are very likely to repeat.

Very Nice. Always impressed with your stock.
My exact sentiment. Regani have always been one of my faves and as has been said your stock is always impressive. Both are gorgeous, good luck with the spawn.

That male looks like an irridescent Breidohri. Body shape and hump, I had to watch it twice, it looks just like a Breidohri. Good luch with the spawn. I've read it's kinda hard to get Regani to spawn.

Have you noticed Regani grow reallllllyyyyyyy slllllooooooooooowww?

I have 3 for close to a year now, and the biggest one is 3 inches? I bought them a little after a bunch of Argentea, and they've grown much slower than the Argentea--which is saying something cause they grow pretty slow, too.

Beautiful fish again, good luck with the spawn!

I agree with you regarding the growth rate being really slow for both regani and (for me, maybe even slower), argentea. Breidohri are also sl-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-w. The regani look somewhat like breidohri but IME are more elongate than breidohri. I believe both argentea and regani are a couple of the harder to spawn centrals, maybe because they do grow so darn slow that it's easy to lose them along the way to being mature.
