I ordered some oscars and they came in at 1.5" (advertised at 2"+). They were listless and I had them in with like sized tinfoils, dempseys, and firemouths. Since the O's couldn't get food from the quicker fish, I put them in a seperate tank. They began to die off shortly thereafter, the last one dying 9 days later. Does anyone have an idea how it could have happened? No other fish were affected and there is no visible evidence of fungus or bacteria.

i hear that they were in a tank with other cichlids first. Current cichlid resisdents will bully new ones since they are "tresspassers" and then you say that they that you moved them into a different tank, so iam guessing they got stressed as other evidence includes not feeding so they didn't fully acclimatise and they were open to diseases would add some calming chemical such as melafix
