they usually prefer floating but i do feed mine massivore all the time, pretty sure massivore and carnivore are same thing but different pellet size??

I start my small fish on carnivore and move them up to massivore as they grow.

Same here. I usually transition from carnivore to massivore once the bass are around 5 inches.
