Thanks to JK47 I have this beautiful Jag pair (both close to 14 inches). I have them in a 120 gallon all to themselves. They have yet to breed (been together for 1 month). Any suggestions other than dimming the lights and playing Barry White?

Also, I am thinking this 7 inch Cuban is a male. What do you guys think?

I would do water changes with cooler water temps and give them places to spawn. A large clay pot and a large flat rock should give them options. A month is not that long, they may still be adjusting to their new home. I would do water changes once a week and give it time.

Thanks. Any thoughts on the Cuban's gender?

Water changes with cold water and live/frozen foods usually do it. And also you forgot about dosing the tank with red wine. (10ml per gal) although tequila works faster for my female.

Yes male Cuban, female would have a dark area in the dorsal like this.

my manguense would spawn when I'd do a massive group of water changes with rain water (maybe 50% every day for a week), a little cooler than the tank average.
I keep rain barrels just for that purpose.
